Josh Brolin Flicks That You Should Absolutely Watch

osh Brolin has brought to the table some of the most memorable, irresistible and stunning movies time and again, be it the Avengers End Game or the Deadpool movies, this American actor ensures that his audience never has a dull moment. His work has brought him several reputable award nominations such as Independent Spirit awards, Critics Choice awards, Academy Awards, Screen Actors Guild Awards etc. The actor was first spotted in the movie “The Goonies” that was released back in 1985.  This was a family-friendly movie which proved to be a real crowd-puller since it earned an unbelievable 60 million US dollars. But even though the film was a significant hit, Brolin did not get his real breakthrough in the industry until around 11 years later.

After 2006, the actor kept appearing in good titles such as “The Dead Girl” but something was not right, and the audiences were continuously unamused. Despite all, “Hollow Man” did manage to set him on a path to a possibility of an award. From 2007, his career graph took an upward turn, and his role in “No Country for Old Men” got him what he truly deserved. He bagged several nominations for awards, critics’ appreciation and garnered a significant fan base for himself all around the globe.

Here is a list of some other Josh Brolin movies that you absolutely should not miss now that all of us have extra dime due to lockdown!

  • Deadpool 2

Brolin may not have been a very suitable superhero, but he still has made his truly deserving mark as a multi talented actor in the comic book universe movie. The movie deals with an idiosyncratic, mutated, undying Ryan Reynolds who unwillingly tries to shield a troubled young boy from Brolin. Brolin plays a time-travelling assassin who comes in from the future and wants to kill the teen in Reynolds Protection because that teen killed his family in the future. Packed with humour, fights, and quirky behaviour, it will be a sin not to watch this movie no matter how disinterested you may be in the Marvel or DC universe.

  • The Dead Girl

A teen girl named Murphy gets murdered, and that sets in motion five different stories that are connected to her death in some way or the other. Brolin may not have received a script that ensures a significant role for him in this movie, but his supporting role is still a pivotal one in the construction of the premise. His presence in the film only cemented the fact that he can alleviate a sub-par story with his finesse in acting.

  • Avengers: Infinity War

The second last instalment of the Avengers movie attracted a huge swarm of fans battling for the first show they can lay their hands on. Nobody wanted to be annoyed with spoilers or be called “the one who has not seen the latest Avenger movie yet”. The unique aspect of the movie was that the villain, Thanos, received more spotlight in the film that all of the heroes combined. Brolin emerged as the most talked-about Marvel villain. The previous movies saw glimpses of Thanos, but Infinity War gave him a chance to be all out as a mad character obsessed with collecting infinity stones to fulfil his evil plans. The man was  not bothered about what extents he has to go to for that objective to be fulfilled.

  • The Goonies

Marking his debut to the silver screen with this movie, Brolin became an overnight success. The audience was a mixed bag of good and bad reviews, but the film did wonders on the box office nonetheless. Portraying the lives of a small group of adolescent boys who stumble upon a treasure map, this movie has received the status of a cult classic over time. The treasure map that the boys find catapults them into an adventure of a lifetime, with Brolin playing the elder brother who accompanies the other boys on their journey to get rich.
