There can be a lot of issues behind your iPhone not being able to connect to the App Store such as the Internet not working, the server is down, etc.

Not being able to connect to the App Store means no installation or downloading of applications. Thus, it is very important to fix the issue to get back to downloading useful apps and working with it.

How to fix the ‘iPhone can’t connect to the App Store’ issues?

There are few tips and tricks that can be used to fix the issue of the iPhone not connecting to the App Store. Follow the tips as mentioned below:

  1. Check the status of Apple’s system

The first and foremost thing to do is check if the server of Apple’s App Store is down or there is some other issue. You can check the same by visiting ‘Apple’s System Status Page.’ A green dot indicates that the server has no issues with it, while a grey square indicates that the system is under maintenance.

If the green dot appears, you’ll know that it’s not the server issue instead, your iPhone is creating a problem.

  1. Check for strong Internet connectivity

Once you’ve checked for the status of the App Store, and everything’s fine with it, check for the Internet connection. Most of the time, it’s the Internet that creates an operating error. If there are Internet issues with your phone, follow the two methods mentioned below:

  • Put your phone to Airplane mode for a few seconds and then turn it on. This solves the problem a lot of times.

  • You can also disconnect your Wi-Fi and then reconnect it again to fix the Internet issue.

  1. Reset your Network settings

Resetting the Network settings can also help in fixing the issue. The steps to reset your network settings are:

  1. Go to the ‘Settings’ app from the home screen.

  2. Click on the ‘Reset Network Settings’ under the ‘General’ tab.

Note: Resetting the network settings will remove your Wi-Fi connection that means you’ll have to connect again. It is advised to note down the Wi-Fi password if any.

  1. Reboot your iPhone

Restarting your device is the basic and most effective method in a lot of situations. Reboot gives a refresh to the applications and fixes the bugs if any.

  1. Update your iPhone to the latest iOS version

It is important to keep your iPhone updated whenever the new version is introduced. The steps to update your iPhone are:

  • Go to the ‘Settings’ app from the home screen.

  • Check for the ‘Software Update’ under the ‘General’ tab.

  • If there’s any update available, it’ll flash on the screen from where you can start updating.

Note: It is important to connect your iPhone to charge and a Wi-Fi connection to start updating.

  1. Sign out and sign in to the App Store

Logging out and in on an App Store can work as a quick fix sometimes. The steps to do the same are:
