Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Open Beta Dates Confirmed

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is arriving in November, but before that, players will get the beta version. The beta version will come out before a month of the official release. Releasing the beta version is an old tradition of the Call of Duty franchise. Activision recently announced the beta release dates. The beta version will first launch on PlayStation 4.

The exclusive period of PS4 will start on October 8 for those who preorder the game. After doing it, the owners will get the beta version from October 10-12. Fans that are using PC or Xbox and preordered the game will get the beta version on October 15. All the beta versions will keep running until the official game arrives. On October 17-19, the beta version will be available for every player. So basically PS4 will get the first access, and then everyone will have the chance to play it.

However, the company still has not revealed any mods of the beta version, but it’s confirmed that it will be more than the alpha test of PS4 which happened last weekend. Many players have played that alpha test and some of the players found the snipers slightly out of range. Well, the Treyarch Designer “Tony Flame” has revealed specifically about the alpha test, and said a similar thing will happen with beta.

The beta version will launch on October 8. However, PlayStation 4 players will have the opportunity to experience it before anyone else. Fans can also check out the beta schedule to understand properly:

Call of Duty: Black Ops Beta Schedule

Weekend 1 – PlayStation 4 Exclusive

  • Early-access starts on October 8

  • Open Beta starts on October 10

  • Weekend 1 ends on October 12

Weekend 2 – Beta on PS4, PC, and Xbox One

  • Early access for the Xbox and PC (with PS4) starts on October 15

  • Open Beta starts on October 17

  • Open Beta ends on October 19

For the lovers of the COD franchise, it’s great news. Call of Duty: Black Ops is getting great hype for a few months. Now that the exact schedule has been announced, the official game will take no time to launch. However, to get the game, it is necessary to do a pre-order. In November many popular games are arriving, but most of the players are waiting for the new COD version.

Currently Warzone and Modern Warfare, both are going great with their new season. Developers recently launched a new season with plenty of new challenges and rewards. However, it will be interesting to see what COD: Black Ops will bring for the players.

Conclusion

Call of Duty is among the most popular franchises. Players have so many expectations from the upcoming version. The beta version will reveal most of the concepts and improvements of graphics. However, it is confirmed that COD: Black Ops will bring some new and innovative systems to the game. So until any new update arrives, fans should focus on the current season of Warzone and Modern Warfare.
