The game might also have multiple playable characters from the Bat universe.
WB Games Montreal’s new Batman video game has been heavily anticipated for almost a year now. Fans have been teased, rumors have been spread, and our curiosities ignited. There have been so many leaks since last year. That way, more information is speculated at this point than expected. It has been a crazy ride since last year when the first rumors started hitting the internet around the 80th Batman Day.
Gamers, Insiders, and developers Assemble!
When it comes to leaking stuff for fellow people of the community, the gaming community is beneficial. On Twitter, gamers like @TheComixKid and @Sabi have speculated about what to expect from this installment of the Arkham series.
Twitter has been rumbling again
According to @TheComixKid, the upcoming Batman title will contain various members of the Bat-family playable. This will be a new and exciting addition. The game will have a Nemesis system, which will be similar to Shadow of Mordor and the next one. Batman will have multiple factions in the game, with GCPD, hunting Batman, will be one of them. And the villain will be Court of Owls as Scott Snyder very embarrassingly leaked last year. In Sept 2019, Sabi – an insider with a proven track record, said that the new Batman game would be called Batman: ‘Arkham Legacy,’ where he mentioned the multiple playable character theory first. As the name wasn’t confirmed, speculations marched on. And currently, the name of the game as per the fandom will be Gotham Knights.
The makers played a mischief
WB Montreal has also hinted at certain aspects of the game. The fact that it’ll have multiple factions is something we picked from the company’s reports and interactions. The GCPD will be one of the camps which perfectly aligns with the whole “Capture the Knight” motif. It might be that the Court of Owls is calling the shots from behind, from the shadows. So there being additional Bat-family members playable in the series is only contextually sound.
And just like the previously told folktales, this information is also speculative at best. But from the pieces of the puzzle, it seems like the Batman franchise and fandom are up for an exciting ride ahead. For now, all we can do is wait for the Big Reveal, which is reported to be in August.
